Set Your Own Price for Every Specialization You Coach

    June 22, 2026·By Mohamed

One of the biggest advantages of coaching on Group Fit is control over your rates. You are not locked into a single flat price for everything you do. Each service you offer can carry its own price, set by you, based on what that service is actually worth.

From your Account menu you can set a custom price for each specialization you offer. Your rate for general personal training does not have to match your rate for boxing, HIIT, bootcamp, yoga, jiu jitsu, basketball coaching, or strength and conditioning.

Why one flat rate quietly costs you

Not every service carries the same value, demand, prep time, or travel. A trainer offering general fitness may charge one rate, then charge more for specialized coaching like martial arts, sport-specific training, senior fitness, or advanced strength work. That is normal business practice.

Many trainers undercharge by pricing every service the same, even when some demand more expertise or equipment. Group Fit removes that trap by letting you price each specialization on its own. A flat rate either leaves money on the table for your premium services or prices you out of the high-volume ones. Splitting your rates fixes both problems at once.

    Price for value, not habit

Your rate should reflect your skill, your experience, the demand for the service, and the result you deliver. A session that needs more preparation or specialized equipment can carry a higher price. A higher-volume, lower-prep service can sit lower. You decide.

Think through the real cost of each service before you set a number. Consider these factors:

    • Your level of certification or experience in that discipline
    • Equipment you supply, from pads and gloves to weights or mats
    • Preparation and programming time before the session
    • How much travel the service typically involves
    • Local demand for that specialization

A muay thai or self-defense session where you bring pads and run drills is a different product from a bodyweight calisthenics session in a park. Pricing them the same ignores that difference.

    Clear prices help clients book

When a client searches for a specific type of coach, they see the service, the trainer, and the price before booking. That clarity reduces confusion and makes the whole booking cleaner. Clients self-select into the right service at the right price, so you spend less time explaining rates.

Transparent pricing also filters for the right clients. Someone who books your specialized session already knows and accepts the rate, which means fewer awkward conversations and fewer no-shows. The price does part of your sales work before you ever meet.

    Review and adjust over time

Pricing is not a one-time decision. As you gain experience, earn new certifications, or notice strong demand for a specific service, revisit your rates. If one specialization books out fast while another stays quiet, that is useful signal about where your value sits.

Raising a rate for a service that is in high demand is reasonable, and clients who value the result will stay. Keep an eye on what books and let real demand guide your adjustments. The market gives you clear feedback if you pay attention to it, so let that feedback shape your prices rather than guesswork.

    How to update your pricing

Open your Account menu, review the specializations you offer, and set a price that makes sense for each. Keep them clear, fair, and aligned with the quality you provide. Update them whenever your skills or your demand change.
