    Customers trust Group Fit because every coach on the platform clears the same standards. Here's what we check, and what we expect.

    Verified identity

    Government-issued ID verified securely through Plaid. We never store your ID details.

    Recognized certification

    At least one current fitness certification from an accredited organization.

    Resume

    A current resume outlining your coaching experience, specializations and any past clients.

    Liability insurance (optional)

    Not required, but recommended. Add details and we'll show an insured badge on your profile.

    Current first aid / CPR

    A valid first aid and CPR certificate is strongly recommended.

    Activity-specific credentials

    If a discipline you coach has its own governing body, the relevant credential helps you stand out.

    Insurance billing (optional)

    If you're eligible, enable insurance billing from your profile. Customers with coverage can book you and an Insurance billing badge appears on your profile.

    The list below covers the most common credentials we verify. If yours isn't here, apply anyway and request we add it, our team reviews equivalent certifications and international qualifications case by case. Once approved, your certification will appear on your profile.

    Quality standards

    What we expect from every coach.

    • Show up on time, dressed professionally and ready to coach.
    • Respect the customer's PAR-Q and adapt sessions to their health profile.
    • Communicate through Group Fit, never ask clients to pay outside the app.
    • Maintain a 4.5+ average rating, address concerns quickly and professionally.
    • Respect cancellation, rescheduling and no-show policies on both sides.
    • Keep certifications, insurance and ID up to date in your profile.
    Verification process

    How we verify you.

    1. 1. Submit. Upload your resume and select your certifications through your trainer profile.
    2. 2. ID verification. We'll send you a secure Plaid link to verify your government-issued ID. We don't store these details.
    3. 3. Review. Our team reviews your resume and certifications against issuing organizations.
    4. 4. Decision. You'll hear back within 2 business days. Incomplete profiles won't be reviewed, finish yours to enter the queue.
    5. 5. Stay current. We track expiry dates and remind you well before anything lapses.
