Customer Personal Trainer

Your Group Fit profile is your first impression—and a great profile can be the difference between getting booked or getting overlooked. Whether you’re a seasoned personal trainer or just getting started on Group Fit, optimizing your profile helps you stand out, attract the right clients, and grow your business.

Here’s how to build a winning profile that gets you noticed—and booked!

1. Upload a Clear, Professional Profile Picture

Clients want to know who they’re training with. Choose a recent, high-quality photo where your face is clearly visible and well-lit. Avoid group shots, sunglasses, or distracting backgrounds. A confident, approachable photo helps build trust before the session even begins.

2. Select the Right Specializations

Your specializations help clients find you. Whether you’re experienced in strength training, yoga, Muay Thai, or functional fitness, make sure to accurately select the categories that reflect your skills and certifications.

Tip: If your specialization isn’t listed, send us an email at support@groupfit.odoo.com, and we’ll work with you to add it.

3. Set and Maintain Your Availability

Make it easy for clients to book you by setting time slots that reflect when you’re actually available. Update your availability regularly—especially if your schedule changes week to week. Trainers who consistently update their availability appear more often in customer searches and reduce the risk of cancellation.

4. Define Your Service Locations with Care

Group Fit allows you to set specific locations where you’re willing to travel, along with a distance radius. Be realistic about how far you’re comfortable going. This ensures you’re only shown to clients within a range that works for you, leading to fewer booking issues and better experiences.

5. Write a Compelling Bio

Your bio is your opportunity to share your story and personality. Highlight your certifications, experience, training philosophy, and what clients can expect when working with you. Let your passion for fitness come through—this is your space to connect beyond just credentials.

Example Bio: “I’m an ACE-certified personal trainer with over 7 years of experience helping clients achieve their goals through strength training and HIIT. I believe in making workouts both effective and fun. Whether you’re just starting or looking to level up, I’m here to support your journey.”

Real Example: How Group Fit Matches Clients to You

Let’s say you set your:

  • Specializations as Yoga, Strength & Conditioning, and Soccer
  • Availability as Mondays (6am–4pm), Tuesdays (9am–5pm), and Thursdays (2pm–8pm)
  • Service Location as CN Tower in Toronto with a 20km radius
  • Time Gap Between Sessions as 30 minutes

Now, if a client:

  • Selects Soccer as the activity
  • Enters an address within 20km of CN Tower
  • Chooses Monday at 9am

…your profile, along with other matching trainers, will appear in their results—only if you’re truly available at that time, location, and for that specialization.

If you already have a session booked at 9am, the client will only see your profile for time slots after 10:30am, because Group Fit automatically accounts for your 30-minute buffer between sessions. This system ensures smoother scheduling for both you and your clients, with fewer conflicts or last-minute cancellations.

The Benefits of a Strong Profile

  • More Visibility: Appear in more search results and match with more clients.
  • Higher Booking Rates: Profiles with clear photos, detailed bios, and accurate availability are more likely to convert views into bookings.
  • Fewer Cancellations: When your schedule and location settings are accurate, you minimize missed sessions and confusion.
